Valentine's Day Thumbprint Cookies

Cooking is an essential life skill that we all should possess;  so we thought it would be fun to put our kids to the test and have you join us!

Cooking can teach our children confidence and skills that can prepare them for a lifetime of healthy habits. Not only is cooking a great way to bond but it also encourages our children to use the knowledge they have and apply it by counting, measuring, and following directions.

Each month Cadey and Chloe (our 10 year old twins) will be baking a fun and easy recipe for your children to join along with. The girls are excited to build a community of kids that are ready to bake along by their side so make sure you share your creations for we can cheer you on! You can tag us on social media @backroaddaisy or use hashtag #bakingwithbackroadaisy

February's recipe is a twist on an old classic. We are making heart shaped thumbprint cookies. These delicious shortbread cookies are made with your children's adorable thumbprints in the shape of a heart and then topped with your favorite jams.

We are so excited for you to join us and we hope you love the first recipe!
